Mahindra Quanto Complete Details, Price list

Last week Indian Auto world saw the introduction of a new 7-seater MPV, specifically the LOW priced 7-seater MPV by Mahindra & Mahindra, named Mahindra Quanto.The base model of Mahindra Quanto comes with a price as low as Rs. 5.82 lakhs with a 1.5L diesel engine. Mahindra Quanto can be booked via its 200 dealerships across India.

Mahindra Quanto Engine

Mahindra Quanto comes only in Diesel version: a 1493cc, 3 cylinder, mCR100 diesel engine capable of generating a maximum power of 100 bhp with maximum torque of 240 nm.The engine mated with 5 speed manual gear transmissions.The 1.5L engine require only 17.8 seconds to reach 0-100 kmph.

Mahindra Quanto Exterior

Speaking about the Exterior of new Mahindra Quanto looks almost similar to Xylo from the front.But if you came to the back side, you could see the spare tyre hanging on the boot and also the small sized all new tail-lamps.

Mahindra Quanto Interior

Here comes what you are looking for.First of all lets see the seating arrangement. Qanto features two front facing rows of seats and at the back 2 seats that facing each other which are meant for kids. When compare to its main competitor Maruti Ertiga with all 3 front facing rows of seats, Quanto's seating arrangement provides much leg space. If you are thinking about putting some luggage with seven passengers on board, i bet you need to put them on your lap as there is no space available but as less passengers there is enough space..

Mahindra Quanto Variants

Mahindra Quanto comes in four variants with C2, C4, C6 and C8. The top end c8 features  like ABS, EBD, dual SRS airbags, reverse parking sensors, power steering, power windows, AC, tinted class, rear washer plus wiper, rear defogger, 2DIN music system, electrically adjustable outside rear-view mirrors, remote central locking, mobile charging points, front fog lamps, driver seat adjustment, digital drive assist system, sun visors, alloy wheels, body coloured bumpers, grille and door handles.With the base variant c2 you wont find almost most of the above features.

Mahindra Quanto mileage

This is another area where you all looks including me.Mahindra Quanto provides a good decent mileage of around 15-18 kmpl where as ARAI certified mileage of Quanto is 17.3 kmpl.

Mahindra & Mahindra on its way to introduced a new, mostly a low priced 7-seater MPV recently named as Quanto.The base price of upcoming Mahindra Quanto in India is made such low as 5 lakh Rupees for compete with Maruti Suzuki Ertiga as well as Premier Rio.According to the available information the new Mahindra Quanto is expected launch on 20th Sep 2012.

About the engine type its expected that the Mahindra Quanto will be available only in diesel engine - 1498cc 3 cylinder diesel engine capable of providing a maximum power out of 100 Bhp@3750rpm and a peak torque of 1600@2800rpm(expected). The engine is mated with a 5 speed manual gear box.The expected mileage of new Mahindra Quanto is about 18kmpl.

Mahindra Quanto will feature two front facing rows of seats plus two side facing jump seats in third row which provides better leg space.With seven passenger on board it seems like there will not be any possible space for luggage as the total length of the SUV is reduced to under 4 meter which reduces the tax inturn reduce the cost.

Looking at the available Mahindra Quanto pics the SUV looks similar to Mahindra Xylo. More details of the new Mahindra Quanto will be provided as soon as its available.So wait and watch...

Renault Scala India Launch Details

After the successful launch of Renault Duster in Indain market,Renault now on its way to introduce a new sedan named Scala.The new Renault Scala is basically similar to Nissan's sunny with a much bigger and better look compared to the Nissan Sunny.

Renault Scala will be available in both petrol and diesel engine types.The petrol model will be a 1498cc, 4 Cylinder engine capable of providing a maximum power out of 97 Bhp at 6000 rpm with maximum torque of 134 Nm at 4000 rpm.The diesel version is powered with 1461cc, 4 cylinder engine with max power out of 84.8 Bhp at 3750 rpm with maximum torque of 200 Nm at 2000 rpm. Both engine version comes with a 5 speed manual gear transmission.

The petrol variant provides a mileage of 12.00 -17.00 kmpl based on city/highway rides.

The expected launch date of Renault Scala in Indian market is 7th September 2012 with a price tag around 7 lakh rupees.
